Art/Nature Journal time

I did some journaling last week when we had a warming trend during this winter season. It was relaxing and fun to get out my journal and add a quick watercolor painting of a tree in my backyard...also, listen to the birds in the area - Red-bellied woodpecker, White-throated sparrow, and Northern cardinal in the distance and up in the trees and sky. It was a nice cool warm day in the high 60s, clear & crisp skies, waxing crescent above my head at 3:30…very meditative and a chance to catch up with my thoughts and to slow down and observe the different hues of colors in the tree bark and shades of green in the canopy of the towering pine trees reaching up into the clear blue sky…
